Emily Mortimer

Emily Mortimer, a British screenwriter and actress, is well-known for her significant contributions to Hollywood films. A former theater student with an outstanding record, Mortimer has an unassuming appearance and a quiet. She appeared in 'Mary Poppins Returns' which was a sequel to 1964's famous musical that became a cult favorite, 'Marypoppins. The film was a milestone for Mortimer. Mortimer played a mysterious French assistance in film series Pink Panther as well as an ambitious and powerful news editor for the show "The Newsroom". Emily Kathleen Anne Mortimer is the daughter of famous writers as well as barristers Sir John Mortimer (born in Hammersmith) and Penelope Gollop. She was born on December 1 in 1971. Emily has several siblings. She has a half-brother Jeremy as well as an older half-sister named Sally, both from her father's marriage earlier to author Penelope Fletcher. Rosie is her younger sister. Her father was in a relationship with actress Wendy Craig, and she is the daughter of Ross Bentley. Mortimer was a student at the St Paul's Girls' School (London) where she studied. After graduating at Oxford University in 1994 where she was a student of English in Lincoln College and Russian, she was enrolled in the Moscow Arts Theatre Drama School for acting classes.
