Yael Stone, a native of Australia and a resident of New York City in 2013 was the character Lorna Mello as an inmate on Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA diploma. Yael had the good fortune to work with Australia's leading storytellers. Her experience includes behind-the-scenes work on film, television and theatre. Yael's career is rich throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael relocated from Australia to New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of Music's production of the show was a critical success. Yael was co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery promotes creative ideas in writing and also creative projects in it's Bushwick studio.
