Lolo Jones, winner of both the USA championships and the World Championships in hurdle events was able to achieve her place with much effort as well as a lot of perseverance. Jones is training since 2005 when she graduated from her studies. Jones won each of the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track races during the same season.

Brandt relocated to Auckland, New Zealand after moving from Cape Town South Africa in later adolescence. Brandt was discovered locally by casting directors, and was offered the role of Naevia as a character in the Starz hit show Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. In the course of her work with Steven S. D Knight's and Sam R. Raimi's producers, she was a breakout movie star. Lesley-Ann Brandt is an South African actress who was born in Cape Town on 2nd of December, 1981. Her talent is impressive as a New Zealander actor. Lesley Brandt moved along with her entire family to Auckland New Zealand in 1999. In Auckland she began working as a retail person then be promoted to the position of IT manager consultant. Lesley started her career with commercial ads following some modeling opportunities. She earned her degree with a specialization in acting in 2008. In 2009 she began learning in Meisner methods of study. Lesley Brandt's very first noteworthy performance was in the TV drama series Diplomatic Immunity, which aired in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt made a guest appearance on New Zealand's TV drama Shortland Street as a supporting actor. The next time she appeared on the show was This Is Not My Life. The show is based on the actual story of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teenager hostage and later depicts her character in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
