Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born January 31, 1974. Her most well-known role is as Bo on the Showcase TV series Lost Girl. Silk is an actress from Canada born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay and Peter Silk both were professors. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. Silk is the Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers watching her mother at work and attending the rehearsals for her plays. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials when she was just a child. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Early theater work includes at least two productions with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved in Toronto in her quest to act and advance, then she moved to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she was introduced to him during an acting workshop located in Los Angeles. They got married in December 2009 after a civil wedding ceremony. In April of 2011, they renew their vows during an Jewish ceremony in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk was blessed with a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. The second son of hers, Levi Aaron was born on May 13 2016. Silk has played a range of television roles, including Cassidy Holland from Being Erica. The actress was nominated to win a Gemini Award in 2009 to play this character. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character in the succubus. Silk got pregnant in the course of production of the season's third finale episode and broke the news to fans of the series in an episode of the Showcase pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. Silk confirmed via Twitter on June 20th 2013 that the show would return in its production. Fourth season premiered on June 4, 2013 with Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. CNN Cable News Network named Bo, along with Lauren Zoie Palmer as the couple with the same name on Lost Girl to be one of their top TV Couples of all time. E! Magazine declared that they were the top Television Couples of 2013. Entertainment Television. Due to the popularity of the show, Silk has garnered a prominent internet following via social media.
